George Harradon Mark Lodge Installation 2017

Although George Harradon Mark Lodge No 956, Installation meeting this year was just a Proclamation ceremony it was a very enjoyable one.  The meeting was held at Liverpool Masonic Hall, Hope Street, on 16th November.

You must be joking!

In attendance was Assistant Provincial Grand Master, WBro Giles Berkley PGStwd, and he had brought several Acting Provincial team members with him.  The Worshipful Master, WBro Dave Jones PProv GSD had agreed to stay in the chair for a second year.
(He claims the Lodge had decided it for him while he was on holiday, as if!)

This will be Dave’s fourth time in the chair and so the Lodge are hoping to find lots of work for him to do.
The Worshipful Master with a collection of VWBros; Grand officers and Provincial Grand Officers
VWBro Fred Hargreaves PGJO who is the lodge DC did the proclamation.  Due to illness among some members of the Lodge, there was only the address to the Wardens, which was given by WBro Dr Alan Boyle MBE PProvAGDC and the address to the brethren which was delivered excellently by WBro Giles Berkley.  At the conclusion of the ceremony WBro Giles Berkley brought the WM the congratulations and thanks from the PGM. The Worshipful Master then presented WBro Berkley with a cheque for the charities.
Lets all join in!
The meeting was followed by a very enjoyable festive board.  And in a very entertaining response to the toast to Grand Lodge, WBro Giles Berkley congratulated the WM for taking on the chair for yet another year.  WBro Berkley also thanked the Lodge for the Charity Cheque and went on to give details of how some of the money from the Charity had been used over the past few years and how so many people benefit from the Mark Charity.

He also spoke a little bit about the history of Lodge, and commented on the number of PGM’s that have been members, and of George Harradon himself, (who the Lodge is named after), having been PGM for 15 years. WBro Giles also promoted the Liverpool Mark Association Social Evening which will be held at Hope Street on 27th January 2018.  (See web site for more details.)  This will be the second year that his event will be held after a very enjoyable and successful Social Evening earlier this year.

WBro Giles had very high praise for our Provincial Web site in general, and the site’s Web Master in particular, WBro Mike Beesley.

We wish George Harradon Mark Lodge and the Worshipful Master WBro Dave Jones a happy and successful year to come.
